Range Of Motion

John has hard time bending forward, bending backwards is ok, twisting gives pain especially to the R side, as well does side-way flexion to the R side.

When you test for ROM, it is time efficient to do the Schober test right away to assess for lumbar mobility/restriction.

Extension and twisting at the same time gives you an idea if the facet joints are involved in/causing his back pain.

Side way flexion gives will elicit symptoms if nerve root are being compressed by e.g. disc herniation.
