Follow up appointment 2-4 weeks later

John returns to the clinic with a different issue: his L ear is plugged and he hears less out of it. You examine his ears and conclude he has wax build up in his L ear. You agree that the LPN will try to flush out his L ear.

You ask him about his back, and he tells you that with the pain medication and a couple of days with the muscle relaxant his back pain is not as bad anymore and he is working again.

You notice in the EMR that he hasn't been for a Periodic Health Exam in a very long time and you agree that he makes an appointment in the near future with his own family physician.
