Open Standard

Open Standard is not the same as Open Source. Open Standards help to promote portability across various software tools and platforms, and much greater interoperability.

Remember that the true value in your cases is in the hours and hours spent by your authors on creating case material. If your virtual patient engine dies, you want to be able to move your cases to another server or VP player.

The Medbiq virtual patient standard has just been ratified by ANSI. This gives it worldwide credibility.
