He denies any trouble with the law. His grades have gone down a little in the last 6 months but he doesn't think it has anything to do with his substance use-"I'm just not into school right now." His parents, especially his Mom, are convinced he is a junkie for some reason and her accusations are making home really tough right now. It especially bugs him that they blame his new friends for the school stuff.
