Results MRI

You go on the provincial system, Alberta Netcare, and find the images of the MRI. For your own learning you look to see if there are any abnormalities on the MRI scan.

After seeing the MRI yourself, you read the report that describes a L4-L5 lumbar disc herniation with significant compression of the L5 nerve root on the R side. You feel satisfied that your initial thoughts were confirmed by MRI scan.

Two weeks later, you hear from your collegue that has seen John in follow up after his back surgery. John expressed many thanks for the excellent care that had been provided to him.

Well Done! Reflect back on what was different between John's first and second visit with back pain.
