Send for CT scan of spine

You phone the radiologist in a nearest town. He tells you that the CT scan is out of service, they are waiting for a new one machine, but there are some delays unfortunately. He advises that if it is very urgent to send the patient to a tertiary care centre 6 hours further. Does John need an urgent referral at this point in time
